South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner voting begins

The polls have opened for the election of a new South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

The vacancy follows the resignation of Shaun Wright who left his post on 16 September.

Polling stations are open until 22:00 BST. The result is expected on Friday.

There are four candidates standing: David Allen - English Democrats, Alan Billings - Labour Party, Jack Clarkson - UK Independence Party and Ian Walker - Conservative Party.
