HMP Doncaster prisoner murder suspect charged

A man arrested following the death of an inmate at a prison in South Yorkshire has been charged with murder.

The dead man has been named by police as 43-year-old Robert Bryan. He was a prisoner at HMP Doncaster.

he was assaulted inside the prison at around 18:00 GMT on Friday and died from his injuries later that evening, South Yorkshire Police said.

Kieron Simpson, 25, of HMP Doncaster is due to appear before magistrates on Monday.
