Jack Sheldon shed fire death: 'No criminality involved', inquest hears

The shed fire which killed a 13-year-old boy was not a criminal act, his inquest has heard.

Jack Sheldon died in the blaze at a house on Byron Avenue in Campsall, near Doncaster, on Thursday evening.

Coroner Nicola Mundy opened and adjourned the inquest until 14 March 2017 at Doncaster Coroner's Court.

Jack's body was found in the shed after the blaze had been put out by firefighters shortly after 20:30 BST.

His body will be returned to his family for a funeral, the court was told.

Neighbours had tried to tackle the fire while the emergency services were called to the property.
