A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman whose body was found yards from where she went missing months before.
Alena Grlakova, 38, who had last been seen near a hotel in Rotherham's Parkgate area on Boxing Day, was found dead behind it on Tuesday.
A 45-year-old Rotherham man was earlier arrested on suspicion of her murder.
South Yorkshire Police said Ms Grlakova's family in the UK and Slovakia had been informed.
Police said the last sighting of Ms Grlakova was on Boxing Day when she was seen on CCTV leaving the Travellers Inn at about 19:00 GMT in Rawmarsh Hill.
A man she was with has been eliminated from inquiries.
She was later seen at the Fitzwilliam Arms Hotel on Taylor's Lane at about 22:30 walking towards Rawmarsh Hill.
She was then reported missing after failing to contact her family.
Her body was found on Tuesday afternoon behind the Fitzwilliam Arms Hotel in School Lane, off Taylor's Lane.
Police said post-mortem tests had not been able to determine how she died, and further tests would be carried out.
Det Ch Insp Mark Oughton, said: "A team of officers, who have been working on the investigation since Alena was reported missing, are continuing with their inquiries to establish where she went after leaving the pub that evening.
"Our thoughts are with the family at this incredibly difficult time. We are determined to find answers for them."
Anyone with information, particularly if they saw Ms Grlakova that evening, should contact police.
