Sheffield attempted murder charge after man stabbed

The attacker is thought to have punched the victim in the head, causing him to fall to the floor, before stabbing him in the chest
A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was punched to the floor and then stabbed in Sheffield.
The 56-year-old is in a critical condition in hospital following the incident on Fargate at about 22:00 GMT on Friday, police said.
Dominic Pecha, 24, of no fixed address, is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Monday.
He remains in police custody. South Yorkshire Police has appealed for witnesses.
