Yungblud: Doncaster singer takes over working men's club

Yungblud met fans before the gig at Norton Coronation Club in Doncaster

Doncaster singer Yungblud is set to play a free intimate gig in his home city.

The performer has been in South Yorkshire on Wednesday as part of BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge Month, playing new single 'Happier' and a cover.

He's now set to play a "first come first in" concert at Norton Coronation Club in Norton from 19:30 BST.

The star, real name Dominic Harrison, told Radio 1 he last played the venue for his "nan's 60th birthday party".

Yungblud, who was introduced on the radio by his relative, covered current UK Number 1 single 'Strangers' by Kenya Grace.

Artists including Olivia Rodrigo, Royal Blood and Jorja Smith have already featured in Live Lounge Month 2023, joining hosts Rickie, Melvin & Charlie.

Norton Coronation Club also featured in the video of Yungblud's 2019 single 'Loner', which took in several areas in Doncaster.
