Police name suspected murder victim found stabbed in Rotherham

Paul Sharp died as a result of stab wounds, police say

A man who was stabbed to death at a property in Rotherham has been named by police.

Paul Sharp, 52, was found fatally injured in Redscope Crescent, Kimberworth, at 07:40 BST on Wednesday.

South Yorkshire Police said three people were arrested on suspicion of murder and one woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All four have been bailed.

In a statement, Mr Sharp's family said his death had brought "deep sadness".

Releasing a photograph of him via the police, the family said: "Paul's death has brought deep sadness and is even more shocking due to the tragic circumstances.

"As a family, we kindly ask that our privacy is respected at this difficult time, and we hope that justice is secured for him."

South Yorkshire Police said a post-mortem examination concluded Mr Sharp had died as a result of stab wounds.
