Man injured in Sheffield city centre 'altercation' between armed men

An 18-year-old man has been seriously injured in what police have described as an "altercation" between armed men.
Armed officers were called to Bank Street, in Sheffield city centre, at about 14:10 GMT on Friday.
South Yorkshire Police said the 18-year-old man had been taken to hospital for treatment.
A police cordon has been put in place on Bank Street and High Street and a firearm has been recovered from the scene, a force spokesperson said.
Members of the public have been asked to avoid the area while investigations take place.
