Sheffield charity game swap for young people facing homelessness

A game swap event is being held to raise money for young people facing homelessness.
The Sheffield Games Collective (SGC) is running the sale at the city's Patriot Games and all profits will go to Roundabout, a youth housing charity.
The swap is taking place on Sunday until 15:00 GMT and is also a chance for gamers to "upcycle unwanted gifts".
A spokesperson said: "It's a fantastic cause and an environmentally friendly way for people to enjoy their hobby."
The SGC has already raised more than £5,000 from previous game swaps.
The event has been described as a "bring and buy" sale where gamers "set the prices".
The SGC will also give the charity any leftover games.
Ruth Haigh, one of the organisers and owner of the city's Treehouse Board Game Café, told BBC Radio Sheffield: "The work Roundabout do is so vital, intervening at a point when things are starting to go wrong with some young people.
"Plus it helps board game fans get their hands on some nice new games!"
A SCG spokesperson said: "With Christmas just gone, we think this is the perfect opportunity to upcycle any unwanted gifts, or move along any older games that need to make way for the new ones."
