A man has been arrested after a crash involving two vans in Doncaster left a woman in a critical condition.
The collision took place on the A635 in Hickleton at about 09:15 GMT on Friday, South Yorkshire Police said.
A woman, 43, who was a passenger in one of the vans, suffered serious injuries and remained in a "life-threatening condition" in hospital, the force said.
A man, 27, arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, had since been bailed.
The arrested man was one of three other people who needed treatment in hospital for minor injuries following the crash which involved a Ford Transit Luton van and a Mercedes Sprinter van at the junction with Red Hill Lane, police said.
They had all since been discharged, they added.
The 43-year-old woman who was seriously hurt in the crash had been travelling in the Ford Transit, according to police.
Police appealed for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident, to get in touch.
