Make a Difference awards: Nominations open across North, South and West Yorkshire
- Published
Nominations are open for the 2024 BBC local radio Make A Difference awards.
The awards celebrate the heart-warming stories of people doing incredible things for each other and their communities to help make where we live a better place.
If you know someone who is really making a difference to your life or to where you live then you can nominate them in one of eight categories.
BBC Radio Sheffield, Radio Leeds and Radio York will all host their own Make a Difference Awards ceremonies later this year.
The categories are:
Volunteer
Community
Fundraiser
Carer
Great Neighbour
Bravery
The Green Award
The Animal Award (new for 2024)
Make a Difference was set up during the Covid pandemic in a bid to help people in need.
The awards aim to shine a light on the everyday, unsung heroes who go the extra mile for others in their community.
