Sheffield United: Work begins ahead of stadium hotel reopening

Work has started on redeveloping the hotel at Sheffield United's Bramall Lane stadium ahead of its planned reopening.
The hotel has been shut since 2020, but the club said it hoped to welcome back guests "from late summer 2024".
Reopening the 155-room venue would create 100 new jobs, the Premier League side said.
"The return of the hotel is welcomed by everyone at the football club," said chief executive officer Stephen Bettis.
The hotel closed after the club's previous owner Kevin McCabe transferred possession of the premises to Prince Abdullah following their 2019 High Court battle over the Blades' ownership.
The club said it wanted to establish the venue "as the leading upscale hotel in the city".
It will include a penthouse suite, fitness centre and an events space for up to 300 guests.
"This new addition will further enhance the matchday experience for our supporters and contribute to the ongoing development of the S2 area," added Mr Bettis.
