Doncaster: Woman, 68, dies after being hit by car

Police are appealing for information after the woman died in Armthorpe, Doncaster

A 68-year-old pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in South Yorkshire, police said.

Emergency services were called to Cranfield Close in Armthorpe, Doncaster, shortly after 16:00 GMT on Saturday.

The woman, who was hit a blue Nissan Cube, died at the scene, South Yorkshire Police said.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and was continuing to assist officers, the force added.

Those who witnessed the incident have been asked to contact police.
