Barnsley man accused of illegal money lending and kidnap

A man from South Yorkshire has appeared in court charged with illegal money lending and kidnap.
Richard Dawson, 35, from Barnsley, confirmed his name at a short hearing at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday.
Mr Dawson, who also faces charges of wounding, assault and money laundering, was remanded in custody.
A further hearing is set to take place on 17 April, the court heard, with a potential trial set to start on 16 September.
