Batemoor: Woman stabbed and gun fired after fight breaks out

A woman was stabbed in Sheffield after a fight broke out with gunshots also fired, police said.
South Yorkshire Police was called to White Thorns View, Batemoor, at 23:20 BST on Monday following reports of a stabbing.
It is thought the 41-year-old woman was injured during the "altercation" involving a group of men, it said.
She remains in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the force added.
Police believe the gun was fired after the fight, with patrols increased in the area.
Det Insp Claire Moss, senior investigator officer, said: "This could have been a different story with a very different outcome.
"Gun crime has no place here in South Yorkshire - if you do have information that can help us in our investigation we are urging you to come forward."
