Royal wedding: 3,000 stamps used to make portrait

Over 3,000 postage stamps were used to create the portrait or Prince William and Kate Middleton

A Staffordshire artist has used thousands of postage stamps to create a picture of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Pete Mason used more than 3,000 recycled stamps to depict the couple in front of the Rose Window at Westminster Abbey.

Mr Mason is showing the work at The Art Gallery in Tetbury, Gloucestershire.

He has employed the same technique for portraits of Prince Charles and Camilla, the Queen and Princess Diana.

A selection of his royal portraits are being displayed in Tetbury, home of Prince Charles and Camilla, until 3 May.
