Pottery firm Emma Bridgewater has announced "a small number of redundancies" as it restructures its production department.
A spokesman for the Stoke-on-Trent firm said the restructuring at its Lichfield Street factory was to "reflect changes in the market".
Managing director Matthew Rice said the business was always about making what the customer wants.
"We have to respond to our customers' needs," he said.
He described the business as successful and said he was proud of the firm's achievements.
The exact number of redundancies has not yet been announced.
