The chief executive of Port Vale Football Club has resigned from his post, the club has confirmed.

Perry Deakin had been involved in a dispute with US firm Blue Sky International over the level of its investment in the League Two side.

Mr Deakin, who joined the club in October, will remain in his role until he has worked out his notice period, the club said.

It has declined to comment on board changes resulting from the resignation.
