Princess Anne and the Mayor of Newcastle-Under-Lyme Trevor Hambleton unveil a plaque at Jubilee2
The Princess Royal has officially opened a leisure complex and new YMCA campus in Staffordshire.
Princess Anne met a medal-winning Paralympian at the £10m Jubilee2 leisure centre in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Swimmer Jenny Booth, who trains at the centre, won a Paralympic gold medal at the Atlanta Games in 1996.
The princess then opened the new £9.5m YMCA campus at Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, which includes a library, gym, sports hall and a climbing wall.
The Princess Royal's visit came 35 years after her father, the Duke of Edinburgh, opened the YMCA's Edinburgh tower on the same campus.
