Fire crews have spent a third day at the scene of a fire in an old factory building in Stoke-on-Trent.

The blaze broke out at the former Twyford building in Etruria on Friday afternoon.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said the main building had been declared structurally safe and diggers were on site to clear up the rubble.

He added that several pockets of fire still needed to be extinguished.

Fire investigation officers remain at the scene.
