Stoke-on-Trent pottery firm in administration

A pottery firm in Stoke-on-Trent has gone into administration, with 45 staff being made redundant.
Managing Director Mike Shirley stated administrators were looking for a buyer for Hudson and Middleton and blamed lack of orders for the move.
The GMB said some had worked there for more than 20 years so would "find it hard to find alternative work".
The union said it would do everything it could to support employees.
Samantha Warburton, regional organiser for the GMB, said: "This is shocking news for the pottery industry and especially for those that work there.
"We are currently in talks with our members... We will be setting up a workshop so members can learn new skills and to help them get back into work."
