Sarah Jeffery's body was found by police in a house on Church Avenue

A man has been accused of murdering his wife after she died at their home in Staffordshire.

Police were called to Church Avenue, Baddeley Green in Stoke-on-Trent at about 10:35 BST on Thursday where Sarah Jeffery, 48 was declared dead.

Her husband Christopher Jeffery, 51, also of Church Avenue, Baddeley Green, is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on Monday charged with murder.

Staffordshire Police said the cause of Mrs Jeffery's death was strangulation.
