Thousands of properties without power in West Midlands

Thousands of properties remained without power in the West Midlands region after snow and high winds.
They included about 3,400 in Staffordshire and over 2,400 in Shropshire, but these figures fell to 1,688 and 703 respectively on Sunday, Western Power Distribution said.
It said it was working "to restore customers as soon as possible".
On Saturday, there was disruption to trains, roads were closed and events were cancelled due to the weather.
More than 8,400 properties in the region did not have power supplies on Sunday morning, but this figure was down to nearly 3,500 in the evening.
At about 10:30 GMT, more than 1,758 properties were without power in Herefordshire, about 640 in Worcestershire and around 220 in the West Midlands area that includes Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
At around 17:45 GMT, Herefordshire had nearly 900 properties lacking supplies, with the Worcestershire figure being about 140 and the West Midlands area 60.
Earlier, a Western Power Distribution spokesman said: "We are continuing to work hard on repairs to restore power and support customers following Storm Arwen.
"If customers want to contact us, please call 105 to report any incidents of cables down or to check that we're aware of an incident in their area."
Cross Country Trains tweeted, external that due to train crew availability on some services, there would be disruption from Monday, "with some services starting later and finishing earlier than originally planned and select cancellations throughout the day".
Network Rail tweeted, external to ask people to please check National Rail Enquiries before travelling by rail on Sunday and Monday.
Earlier, Dudley Council said it had decided to postpone Sunday's Sedgley Christmas lights switch-on due to ice and "with more snow on the way it's not safe to proceed".
