An appeal to look out for a damaged white van has been launched after a woman in her 80s was killed in a hit-and-run incident.

Staffordshire Police believe the van involved was either a Vauxhall Movano, Renault Master or Nissan MV400, registered between 2010 and 2019.

Det Ch Insp Alan Lyford urged people in the area to check dash-cam footage.

The crash took place on the evening of 19 October on Yoxall Road, at the Church Lane junction in Kings Bromley.

Police said it believed the van's driver side wing mirror housing came off as a result of the collision.

It is thought the vehicle had been travelling down the A515 Yoxall Road in the direction of Kings Bromley before turning left onto the A513 Alrewas Road towards Alrewas.

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw a damaged white van in the area or a vehicle which was suspicious.

"If you think you know something, no matter how trivial, please do get in touch," Det Ch Insp Lyford said.
