Parts of Stafford remain flooded after Storm Babet brought a deluge of rain to the town.

Clean-up work is expected to take days, with Doxey Road car park and Victoria Park among the worst affected areas.

Heavy rainfall and high water levels saw cars left submerged in flood water over the weekend.

Environment Agency flood warnings remain in place for the River Trent at Barton Under Needwood and Burton upon Trent.

Nearby river gauges suggest levels there are starting to fall.

Less severe us flood alerts have also been been issued for the River Penk, and the Trent at Rugeley.
