A man has pleaded guilty to killing his mother, who died after suffering serious facial injuries.
Suzanne Henry, 54, was found at a house in Madeley on 1 May, before she died in hospital two days later.
Finn Henry, 21, of Madeley had denied murder, but admitted manslaughter during a hearing at Stafford Crown Court, on Monday.
He was remanded in custody after the hearing and is due to be sentenced at Northampton Crown Court in February.
Mrs Henry was found with fatal injuries at the house in Newcastle Road, Madeley.
Henry had been due to stand trial for murder, but the Crown Prosecution Service said it had accepted the manslaughter plea based on medical evidence.
