Staffordshire modeller gets towns' worldwide fame

Building scale models isn’t the easiest hobby out there, but for retired bus driver Michael Eardley it's all in a day's work.

Now Mr Eardley, from Stoke-on-Trent, has seen some of the hundreds of his models be exported as far as Canada and the US.

Influenced by Staffordshire’s historic town and city centres, he re-uses everyday items such as cereal boxes, toothpicks, and food wrappers to bring his models to life.

"Some of these things look complicated but they're actually very simple," he says.
