Council revenue services to merge in Suffolk
- Published
Three councils in Suffolk are looking to share their revenue and benefits services to help save £600,000.
Ipswich, Babergh and Mid Suffolk district councils believe merging their services could, as well as cutting costs, improve its performance.
Councillors at a meeting of Ipswich Borough Council on Wednesday are being recommended to back the plan.
A report to the committee says the plan would see a cut in jobs, although the council hopes to minimise redundancies.
