The Copdock roundabout near Ipswich is being closed overnight for three days.

The A14 will remain open, but the slip roads and the roundabout will be shut between 20:00 BST and 06:00 BST for resurfacing work from Wednesday to Friday.

Diversions will be put in place through Sproughton at junction 54, Scrivener Drive off the A1214 and Wherstead at junction 56.

The Highways Agency said the diversions would be clearly signposted.

There will be further resurfacing work on the northbound carriageway of the A12 between the Bentley interchange and Copdock.

The carriageway will be reduced to one lane at the same times on 24 and 25 September.

This work will also mean some slip roads at Copdock will be closed and diversions put in place.

Road works to try and improve the Copdock interchange began in May and were due to last for seven months.
