The Suffolk Show returned to Trinity Park, near Ipswich, on Wednesday. The second day of last year's two-day event was cancelled due to heavy winds.

The Suffolk Chamber of Commerce said the show was "one of the economic jewels in the county's crown" and capable of generating £20m for the local economy.

One of the aims of this year's show is encouraging more young people to pursue a career in farming. Another is "disco-dancing sheep".

Suffolk Wildlife Trust said visitors helped identify 74 species in the wildlife area on the first day of the show.

Some stall-holders said the first morning of trade was slow, with fewer people than they had hoped for attending.
