Friends of a man who died off the coast of Lowestoft say they are heartbroken by the death, and fear for two other men who are missing.
Peter Chambers, 43, of Wellesley Road in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, died after he was found face down in the water.
Police believe two men who have been reported missing, named locally as Andrew Porter and Malcolm Sayer, were also on the boat, which capsized.
Keith Hills, a friend, said: "It's heartbreaking for everyone involved."
An extensive search has yet to find the missing men.
Another friend, Stephen Andrews, said the men were "lovely people".
"I was having a drink with them on Sunday - Andrew, Malcolm and Peter - and the next day they're gone," he said.
"It's soul-destroying."
The speedboat left Great Yarmouth harbour on Monday morning and was later discovered overturned, off Ness Point.
Attempts were made to revive Mr Chambers, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have yet to trace his next of kin.
