Colchester Castle Park closed for murder investigation

A man found with serious head injuries in a Colchester park has died.
The man, in his 30s, was discovered in the town's Lower Castle Park by a member of the public about 05:45 GMT, police said.
When paramedics arrived at 05:50 he was unconscious and in cardiac arrest. The man was pronounced dead at 06:30.
The park is closed and a police cordon has been established near Wakefield Close. Detectives said the man is believed to be local.
Police are making house-to-house inquiries on the Riverside estate.

Richard Smith from BBC Essex, who is at the scene, said: "The Essex Police helicopter has been circling Castle Park and the Riverside Estate near the park's eastern end.
"Police have erected a white tent about 100m from Wakefield Close while officers carry out forensic investigations."
