Fire crews tackle blaze in house roof at Stanstead in Suffolk

The fire broke out in Stanstead in the early hours of Monday morning

Six fire engines have been called out to deal with a roof fire in a house.

Crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called at 05:19 BST to the property in Stanstead near Sudbury.

The roof of the detached property had caught fire. The fire service said there had been no casualties.

Other agencies including Anglian Water, UK Power Networks and the Environment Agency were also called in to check on the effects of the fire.
