Police have arrested an inmate who was one of three men who absconded from an open prison on the same day.

Aidan McGuinness, 44, absconded from Hollesley Bay in Woodbridge, near Ipswich, on 21 October, along with Joshua Lewis Terry, 29, and Levi Mitchell, 39.

McGuinness was arrested in Doncaster on Wednesday, Suffolk Constabulary said.

Terry was arrested in Norwich on 24 October but police have not yet said whether Mitchell has been detained.

Previously from Hertfordshire, Mitchell is described as 5ft 10in (1.78m) tall with ginger hair and blue eyes, is of a slight build, with a goatee beard.

He also has a birthmark on his left arm and hand.

He is serving a sentence for multiple burglary offences.

Police have been asked what Terry and McGuinness were arrested on suspicion of when they were detained.
