Suffolk firework display: Eco-friendly show returns to Woodbridge
- Published
An environmentally-friendly fireworks display will take place in Suffolk at the weekend.
Fish Friendly Fireworks will return to Woodbridge on Saturday and Sunday, as part of the town's second winter light celebration.
There will not be any fireworks lit at the free event, which is funded by Arts Council England and East Suffolk District Council.
Instead, light projections will be shown on the Grade I listed Tide Mill.
The festival will also feature work from 170 local artists, music acts and a specially commissioned light sequence to mark the end of Black History Month.
Councillor Doreen Pegg, said: "We've been celebrating the musical influence of the Windrush generations in Woodbridge since June, so it's great to close these celebrations and mark the end of Black history Month with projections on the town's historic Tide Mill."
The night will also feature sets from DJ Ben Osborne and visuals by Jim Horsfield.
Fish Friendly Fireworks has been recognised for its green efforts and was shortlisted for an East Suffolk Council Green Impact award and BBC Radio Suffolk's Make a Difference awards.
