Suffolk rapper EV's delight as music played on Radio 1

A rapper has said having his track play on Radio 1 is a "dream come true".
EV, from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, quit his job as a lorry mechanic just before Christmas to focus on music full time.
The 27-year-old described his music as "dancey lad rap".
His track Fridays Nights was chosen by a national BBC panel to be a BBC Introducing track of the week, which means it is played on Radio 1's biggest shows throughout the day.
EV first uploaded music to BBC Introducing in Suffolk in 2018, but said he had now "found" his sound.
His music has been described as having a 1990s rave and MC inspired sound, with influences from The Streets.
In December EV quit his job as a lorry mechanic after he secured a record deal, and now works on his music full time.
He said: "It is amazing, it is mad you do something for a hobby for so long and when it starts taking off, it is really a dream come true."
EV has had other songs played on Radio 1's late night shows, but said the opportunity to have his music played multiple times a day on the station's most popular programmes has been amazing.
He said the reaction has "been crazy" and he has noticed an increase in streaming and social media followers.
EV said that to hear how many people related to his music, especially Friday Nights, was "amazing".
"A lot of people are saying it takes them back to the 1990s, makes them feel nostalgic... and it is a feel good tune."
When he spoke to BBC Music Introducing in Norfolk and Suffolk, EV said: "I tell real stories about my life, my family and whatever I see out and about goes into a song."
He said the track Friday Nights "encapsulates everything that happens in the city on a Friday night" from raving with friends to falling in love on the dance floor.
Going forward he said he would like to ensure his dream stays a reality, and is not just a one-week wonder.
"I want to make sure it is not a one-off, not just one week. I want to live on the radio if possible. That is the goal," he said.
