Man in 50s died in Ipswich ground floor flat fire

A man in his 50s died in a blaze in a block of flats, police said.

Fire crews were called to Crocus Close, off Hawthorn Drive, Ipswich, at 10:28 GMT on Tuesday.

The cause of the ground floor fire has not yet been established but is not believed to be suspicious, police said.

There were no other injuries and all residents were able to return to their homes on Tuesday, Suffolk Fire and Rescue said.
