A man suffered potentially life-changing injuries and three others were hurt following a car crash in Suffolk.

Police were called at 04:33 GMT to reports of a single-vehicle crash involving a Seat Ibiza car on Heath Road at Sutton Heath, near Woodbridge.

Three men and a woman were taken to hospital.

A man, 23, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving, driving while unfit through drink and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was initially taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment, but is now being questioned by officers.

The road, which was closed for several hours, has since reopened.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, and asking any motorists with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle to review the footage.
