Ipswich have enjoyed more success than their local rivals so far this season

Ipswich Town fans have offered their predictions for Saturday's East Anglian clash against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

With 26 league wins under their belt this season, the Blues have high hopes for the Old Farm derby.

The club last won the bout in 2009, with a 3-2 win at Portman Road.

The 3-2 victory over Southampton on Monday put Ipswich Town firmly at the top of the Championship, with five matches left before the play-offs.

Kick-off at Carrow Road is at 12:30 BST.

Reece Smith, 29, said: "It's been so many years of heartbreak and struggle, it'd be nice to actually break the duck off our back."

When asked what he believed the outcome would be, Mr Smith said: "2-1 Ipswich, absolutely. You've got to keep the faith."

Aimee Morris-Sanders said: "Obviously we are going to win the match in a very strong position but the beauty - and heartache - of football is you just never know.

"We will be giving our support to our boys in blue this weekend to not only beat Norwich, but to keep our top spot. Uppa Towen!"

Evie Warne has been going to watch Ipswich Town play since she was seven-years-old.

"There's a real buzz around the club at the moment," she said. "I feel like it's our time now - come on you blues!"

Hannah Brennan has supported the club for 30 years and said the derby was the "highlight of the season".

"It will be a close one but I think Town will take the win, with a score of 2-1," she said.

"Nearing the end of the season with a win over our local competitors would be the icing on the cake."

"The last two and a half years, fantastic stuff we're seeing now," said John Pulham, who has supported the club since 1960.

"We've got six games left and that'd be nice to get all six wins. I don't know if that's gonna happen, but it'd be marvellous if it did."
