Teenager dies following collision on A14 near Bury St Edmunds

The road between junction 44 and junction 43 has been reopened

A teenage girl has died after she was hit by a lorry on the A14.

The incident occurred between junctions 44 and 43 at Bury St Edmunds at about 01:30 BST.

A 16-year-old girl died at the scene and Suffolk Police has appealed for any witnesses, information or dashcam footage.

The road was closed in both directions until 06:40 when the eastbound side was reopened. The westbound carriageway reopened at 11:40.
