A jury has been sworn in for the trial of a man accused of murdering his wife at their home last year.

Nigerian national Olubunmi Abodundee is charged with killing Taiwo Abodundee, 41, at a property on Exning Road in Newmarket, Suffolk, on 28 November.

Mr Abodundee, 48, of Exning Road, has denied a single charge of murder.

The prosecution was expected to open its case at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday.

The defendant appeared in the dock wearing a grey fleece and gold rimmed glasses.

Judge Martyn Levett told the jury he estimated the trial would last a minimum of three weeks.

The trial continues.
