WWF-UK charity shows Woking headquarters plan

Plans by a conservation charity to develop a site in a Surrey town as its new headquarters have gone on display.
The proposals by WWF-UK for Woking town centre were being shown at two public meetings this week.
The charity wants to set up a "Living Planet Centre" which will house the headquarters and include a visitor facility and education suite.
It wants the local community to use the Brewery Road base to see the charity's conservation and campaigning work.
WWF-UK chief executive David Nussbaum said consultation on the plans took place in November 2008.
He said the charity had tried to incorporate feedback from the community and create a "welcome addition" to the Woking landscape.
He added: "With the Living Planet Centre, we want to show that urban, developed spaces can be transformed and utilised more effectively to benefit both business and biodiversity."
The public meetings were being held at the HG Wells Centre in Church Street East on Tuesday and Wednesday.
