Taxi marshals back in Guildford on Saturday nights
- Published
Taxi marshals are returning to a Surrey town centre to offer assistance and support at a busy taxi rank.
The full trained security staff will be on hand in Guildford every Saturday night from this weekend between the hours of 2330 and 0300 BST.
They will work in pairs and will be based at the North Street taxi rank until 5 November.
Ch Insp Matt Goodridge, of Surrey Police, said taxi marshalling had proved successful in the past.
"Past experience has shown that by working together with other agencies we can help ensure that Guildford remains a fun and safe place for people to enjoy," he said.
