Milford Hospital site earmarked for homes in Surrey

About 120 homes could be built on land surrounding a Surrey hospital under plans being considered by councillors.

Residents have been asked for their views on the development at Milford Specialist Rehabilitation Hospital.

Councillor Adam Taylor-Smith, of Waverley Borough Council, said about 40% would be affordable homes.

He said: "There is a need for affordable housing and construction on the site will help get the economy moving locally."

He added that the site being considered for development did not "involve any of the open existing hospital buildings".
