WWII bomb detonated off Beachy Head

Bomb disposal experts have detonated a WWII bomb brought up in fishing nets by a boat off East Sussex.
The vessel, called Joanna C, was off Beachy Head roughly two miles (3.2km) south east of Sovereign Harbour.
Emergency services said the two-man crew was told by the coastguard to anchor offshore until the bomb disposal team arrived from Portsmouth.
In February 2011, a 20ft-long bomb was discovered floating five miles off Beachy Head by a fisherman.
It was recovered by bomb disposal experts.
