A doctor from Surrey has appeared in court charged with trying to cause pregnant women to miscarry.
Majeed Ridha, 64, of Woking, is charged with using a poison or noxious thing to cause miscarriage.
He is also charged with supplying or procuring poison or a noxious thing with intent to produce a miscarriage.
Dr Ridha was bailed by Westminster magistrates to appear at Southwark Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on 24 April.
It is alleged that he "encouraged or assisted the commission of one or more of a number of offences" in September 2012.
