A man has been charged after valuable glass panes were smashed at Guildford Cathedral in Surrey.

The incident happened on 11 January.

The 31-year-old of no fixed abode has been charged with five counts of criminal damage, one of burglary, and two of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm and distress.

The cathedral said its insurance would not cover the whole cost of repairs and has launched a fundraiser.
