Long Ditton: Appeal after reports woman forced into 4x4 vehicle

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following safety concerns for a woman in Long Ditton, near Surbiton

Police are appealing for witnesses after reports a woman was forced into a vehicle in Surrey.

Two men and a woman are reported to have had an argument in Simpson Way, Long Ditton, near Surbiton, on Thursday, between 20:40 and 21:00 GMT.

The woman - who police described as Asian and aged in her 30s or 40s - was then put into a grey 4x4.

As part of the appeal police said the two men, who were believed to be Asian, drove off in the direction of Esher.

Det Sgt Mark Fordham said: "We want to ensure that the woman is safe, so are asking people with any information to contact us immediately."

He added that the force has been conducting inquiries in the local area to help identify the person and vehicle involved.
