Father and sons in court over golf club body murder

A father and two sons were remanded in custody after appearing in court over the murder of a man whose burnt body was found on a golf course.

The remains of Stefan Welch, 37, who lived at a Brighton hostel, were found at the Dyke Golf Club on 4 September.

Sean Cirus Iran, 21, of St Richards Road, Portslade, appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court accused of murder.

He is also charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, along with Babak, 44, and Navid Iran, 23.

The three men are due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday.

A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Welch probably died from a blow to the head.
