Dog control order at Chichester Harbour considered

A local council is considering introducing a dog control order to protect wading birds in the Fishbourne Channel near Chichester Harbour.
Chichester District Council said dogs were disturbing the birds, which could lead to a decline in numbers.
The order would mean that owners would have to keep their pets on leads at all times around the harbour.
Councillor John Connor said he wanted to protect the area for wildlife while ensuring walkers could enjoy the area.
